After much practice writing legal opinions, I decided to start writing something a bit lighter and more fun. With a math and law degree in my background, my style is somewhat different than the typical fiction writer. If you enjoy books like 'The Martian' and the 'Jack Reacher' series, you'll probably find my work worthwhile.

I enjoy rock climbing, flying small airplanes, music and racquetball. I consider Jules Verne, Arthur C. Clarke, Sir Isaac Asimov and Richard Feynman my personal heroes. Unlike my fictional hero, Sunny Kinnion, I also enjoy many aspects of computers but, I must admit, Sunny and I agree about cell phones: we wish they hadn't been invented!

I think fiction should be fun and engaging. I try very hard to write stories that are consistent, believable and yet surprising. I have a wide range of interests so my books can be a little difficult to categorize. I enjoy action, adventure, horror and science fiction. However, I don't always keep them in separate categories when I write.
